I started with The New Homes Group in 2018 after working in various sales environments, I was ready for a change and a chance to move forward in my career. Since starting I have had the support and guidance to become one of the helplines most consistent top performers which has been recognised and enabled me to progress into a senior role with the team. Since then I am looking to move forward with New Homes and progress to be able to offer the same support I was given to new members of the team and am looking forward to my next role!

I started on the helpline as a Mortgage Helpline Specialist, this was my first job working as an employee after selling my business that I ran for 18 years. So it was very different, I definitely adapted well and was able to transfer my skills into this new job. There was plenty of training and support from everyone within the team and I was promoted to Senior after 3 years. I was encouraged by management  to sit my exams to become a Mortgage Adviser and once I achieved this I was given the opportunity to move into advising and I thoroughly enjoy my new role. I strongly believe that if your work hard and show the right attitude you will do well within the company and will be given lots of opportunities. Working on the helpline can be challenging at times as you need to be able to manage your time adequately and still be professional on the phone, I have found that management will always help you and guide you to do your job role effectively. My time on Helpline has made me a better Mortgage Adviser as my knowledge around criteria is very broad., and I am very good at time management and preparing my cases.

I joined New Homes Mortgage Helpline in August 2001 as a Mortgage Adviser. After 14 successful years in that role I felt it was time for a change but didn’t want to leave the company. An exciting opportunity became available in another area of the business and I became an Account Manager tasked with maintaining and building on existing housebuilder client relationships. After just over 3 years in this role I was promoted to Account Director, now responsible for a team of Account Managers ensuring that our existing housebuilder clients continue to receive the best service possible from NHMH whilst at the same time developing those relationships and promoting NHMH to new opportunities.

I’ve worked at The New Homes Group for 5 years now, I started as a Sales Administrator and have worked my way up to a Sales Support Manager. The thing I love the most about working here is the people and how well everyone works together, senior members of staff have also been incredibly supportive when it’s come to progressing my career.

I’ve worked for The New Homes Group since 2013 and have seen the company grow massively in that time, which has allowed both myself and my colleagues to grow too. Working for a company which is so passionate and focussed on its clients, yet still so personable, was one of the main reasons I first joined – and I’m pleased to say the culture still remains today. We have very high expectations and are always looking at ways to improve our service and continue to grow the company further – as such, the work is always demanding and every day will always present a new challenge. But this is always tempered with the enjoyment of working with such a friendly and like-minded group of people.
